We Achieve in Sport
Outdoor areas include a large field, two soccer pitches, one rugby pitch and an athletics track during the summer months and two hardcourt areas. Indoor areas are a large sports hall, gymnasium and a multi-gym.
All Year 7 & 8 students are timetabled for three periods of PE per week; Years 9, 10 and 11are two periods. GCSE and BTEC (Edexcel) are offered as part of the options programme. General PE at KS3 and KS4 offers students a broad and varied curriculum. Presently the majority of teaching groups are single sex and setting proves effective.
The extra-curricular programme is a vital part of the work of the department. A wide range of clubs, teams and activities are offered.
The Physical Education faculty is well established, well organised and plays an integral part in the whole of school life.
