Artsmark is a national award scheme managed by Arts Council England that recognises schools with a high level of provision in the arts. The award scheme is open to all schools in England – primary, secondary, special schools and pupil referral units, both maintained and independent.By gaining an Artsmark, Kingswood College of shows its commitment to the wider development of young people and teachers and to raising the profile of the arts in the school and local community. |

Offering close support and guidance to primary care trusts, local authorities and their schools, teh Healthy Schhols programme is equipping children and young people with the skills and knowledge to make informed health and life choices and to reach their full potential. More than 97% of schools nationally are now involved in the programme and over 70% of schools have achieved National Healthy School Status. This translates to around 4 million children and young people currently enjoying the benefits of attending a Healthy School. Core themes include PSHE, healthy eating, physical activity and emotional wellbeing. “It’s about creating happier, healthier children who do better in learning and in life”. The Quality Mark is about recognising minimum standards in teaching literacy and numeracy. Attainment of this award is normally based on a close partnership between the Agency, Local Authority and schools. Over 5100 schools have the Quality Mark to date in England and Wales – including Kingswood. |
