Academy Uniform

At the Kingswood Academy, we believe that students should dress smartly and consistently, but we also recognise that students are individuals with their own personalities and styles. We want our students to feel comfortable and to wear their uniform with pride. The Academy’s uniform therefore consists of a wide range of approved items, which allows an element of personal choice and provides us with the opportunity to adapt the uniform over time in response to changing fashions and trends.

For parents, we want uniform items to be readily available and affordable. We have therefore developed a relationship with Asda George, where many of the approved items can be purchased cheaply – though we are happy for parents to buy the same items elsewhere. Items carrying the Academy logo can be purchased via the Learning Centre, but there is no requirement to wear items with the logo. Please note, however, that non-Academy logos and branding are not permitted.

Students are not permitted to wear items unless they are specifically included on the approved list. We will, however, work with students and parents in adapting the list. We will also develop accessories (such as belts, ties and bags) as part of our Art and Design curriculum.

Plain white short or long-sleeved shirt, with approved tie*

Black V-Neck jumper: plain or with Academy logo

* ties must be plain black or as specified by the Academy

There is no requirement for students to wear blazers.
